Cat5 KVM Switch also referred to as Rackmount KVM Switch over Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 cable, enables users to control multiple Servers (up to 256 Servers) from a single or multiple locations. These units comes in 8, 16, and 32 port configurations in 1U. The servers can be placed up to 40 meters (130ft) away from the KVM Switch. These KVM units eliminate the need to run long and bulky 3 in 1 KVM cables, as the extension is over a single Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 UTP cable. This KVM over CAT5 Switch supports DVI-USB, VGA-DVI, and VGA-PS2 server interface. It offers multi-platform capability and users can control a mix of SUNs, MACs, and PCs with DVI or VGA for video and USB or PS2 for Keyboard and mouse. Cat5 KVM Switch has built-in features like dual power fail-over safe, multilingual on-screen display, and hot key command support.
